Dark Shadows is about Barnabas Collins’ journey as a vampire from 1770 to 1970 and rebuilding his family’s business. It’s based on a 1970s TV Series, and stars Johnny Depp. But don’t leave the trailers lead your choice to see this movie. Continue reading

Sorry for the delay friends! Here’s what hit our shelves this week in the world of comics. This article proves only one thing, I’m gonna be broke. Also, this is apparently the year of the crossover. We are still steeped in Marvel’s huge event Avengers vs. X-men and DC has finally began not one, BUT TWO, crossovers. We finally begin Batman’s Night of the Owls and Young Justice’s The Culling. With all this going on be sure to look for my article helping newcomers to the comics world. It can seem like a lot but I will be your guide! But without further ado, I give you our weekly pull!

Fellow Assassin’s,

Ubisoft has delivered unto the masses a preview of what we can expect in the upcoming fall release of Assassin’s Creed III. Assassin’s Creed III follows another ancestor of the main protagonist Desmond Miles, Connor Kenway. Connor is a child of America in every sense of the word; he is half Mohawk and half British. Growing up with Native Americans, Connor grows into the Assassin as the predator he has always been.

This game looks quite promising and the gameplay is in it pre-Alpha phase which means graphics and mechanics are still a bit rusty. But don’t let that fool you. Just watch the video and keep in mind that it is only going to get better.

Assassin\'s Creed III Gameplay Preview

Like most things in this world Orion Nerds has it’s issues that divide us. Most of the world argues Ford VS Chevy or Mayo VS Miracle Whip. We, on the other hand, argue things like, Intel VS AMDWindows VS Mac, or Apple VS Android, but after the dust settles we can agree to disagree and only bring it up when we have to (almost like a nerd thanksgiving). However a subject we choose to cover on this site carries with it a stigma and cast a small shadow over our collection of posts, Jailbreaking.

Like Ford VS Chevy there are two mindsets, Leave your device alone or Unlock the potential of your device. Now I want to make one thing clear

We do not support piracy, or unlocking of iDevices.

Now since jailbreaking is not illegal, you as a consumer have the right to jailbreak your phone or leave it alone. The point of having this subject on our site is to give you, the reader, all the options and information so if you choose to jailbreak you have a community to give you suggestions and help if you need it.

We are not responsible for damage to your device or voiding of warranties.

Do it at your own risk.

Just be responsible and ask if you need help. If you don’t like the subject let us know or just pass over it, it is only a small part of what makes Orion Nerds a great place to get your tech news.

Tell us what you think below.

I’m so happy I think I may skip, no you know what…. I’m skipping!!! Hopefully this will let me jailbreak my new iPad!

Upcoming Redsn0w Update Will Support Downgrading Of iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPad (3rd Gen), Restore Without iTunes | Redmond Pie.

Once again, shirt.woot.com has brought gamers some quality geek chic apparel.

So after a record-breaking $207.4 million dollars in the box office as of Monday May 7, The Avengers is currently (and arguably) the best superhero movie to date.

THE STORY
Joss Whedon, known to many geeks and nerds for the birth of great series’ such as: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Angel, and DollHouse, has delivered onto us a movie unlike any that have come before it. Some speculate that Whedon has outdone himself. I say however, that Whedon has delivered exactly what I would expect from him: a phenomenal piece of work that evidently shows passion for the project. Whedon’s stint when writing Marvel’s Astonishing X-men is perhaps to be considered one of the best runs in comic history next to Grant Morrison’s New X-men.
In The Avengers, the planet’s premiere spy network S.H.I.E.L.D. and it’s monocled leader Nick Fury realize that a new enemy has come to Earth and our current defenses are negligible at best. Without spoiling too much, an artifact goes missing, an old enemy returns, and a call is put out to all heroes to step up to the plate and help out.
Nick Fury’s Avengers Initiative, which was put on ice by The World Council, enlisted the help of many individual heroes such as: Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye.
In the film, these heroes must come together, put aside their alpha male tendencies, and suit up to save the day.

Dis·hon·ored:
1: To bring shame or disgrace upon.
2: Bethesda and Arkane Studios’ Stealth Based Hybrid.

Arkane Studios is busy at work with its new first person shooter title, Dishonored, and who better to work with than Bethesda. Though the gameplay seems like a hybrid of Bioshock, Thief, Assassin’s Creed, and etc. it is truly a fresh breath in an industry inundated with military FPS titles that are the same game over and over again. Dishonored is shaping up to be something to be very excited about.
